30 student councils from all over Oregon came together for a leadership conference, and as a part of the event they planned a huge surprise for a very deserving staff member, thanking her for all she does.

Throughout Maya’s journey in learning to walk, her dog has been beside her for each moment. At age 4, Maya took her first solo steps, and the two of them couldn’t be more overjoyed.

One Texas high school has been working hard at building tiny homes for veterans in need. An appreciative tiny home recipient said, “Serving does something. When you give, you end up receiving.”

Walking 111 miles isn’t an easy undertaking, let alone doing it while carrying someone on your back. Yet that’s exactly what this 16-year-old did with his younger brother to raise awareness for cerebral palsy.

Many people may have different answers, but they tend to center around the same point: kindness is a choice, and it’s a choice that matters.
